Colombo to Kandy Day Tour

The second-largest city in Sri Lanka after Colombo, Kandy is brimming with fascinating history, a rich culture, breathtaking beauty, and old-world charm.It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka.The Kandy plateau, which cuts across a region of tropical plantations, primarily tea plantations, is where the city is located. The capital of the Central Province, Kandy is a city of administration and religion. Then you will visit the Millennium Elephant Foundation.

Millennium Elephant Foundation is a place where you can see Asian elephants very closely and have a walk and a bathing experience of an elephant. Within about an hour you can have an everlasting memory in this place and then Peradeniya Botanical Garden which is situated in Kandy’s suburb of Peradeniya.This garden is the Second Largest Botanical garden in Asia and this garden was established in 1821. The garden is home to a large and diverse variety of plants, especially endemics and species extinct in the wild. There are over 4000 different species of plants in the garden, regarded as among the most superior in Asia.

At last you will visit the most sacred place of buddhist. The left tooth of Gautama Buddha is enshrined in veneration at the revered Temple of the Holy Tooth Relic. The temple, which is visited daily by tens of thousands of local and foreign pilgrims, was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988.

  • Peradeniya Botanical Garden 
  • Then you can enjoy the Kandy City Tour.
  • After that, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex, which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha.
  • You can spend the time at Lake Round and enjoy boat riding.(optional)
  • At the view point, you can see an overview of the beautiful Kandy city.
  • After that, you can visit the most extensive and largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka, which covers about 146 acres.
