Surfing in Sri Lanka 

Sri Lanka is a famous destination among tourists because in Sri Lanka you can enjoy hiking & trekking, ruins, religious attractions, adventure activities and beaches. Especially when we talk about beaches of Sri Lanka, this is a treasure for people who love beaches. Because of Sri Lanka is a small island, you can reach to the beach with in about four hours of drive starting from even the center of Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan beaches are very famous for relaxing and water activities. Sri Lanka can be defined as a paradise for surfers because you can experience surfing all around the year. May to October is best for surfing in southern coast of Sri Lanka. Hikkaduwa, Mirissa and Weligama can be defined as the most famous southern coast beaches for surfing. November to April becomes best season for surfing in east coast of Sri Lanka. In east coast Arugam Bay is the most famous place for surfing among tourists. Sri Lankan waters are warm and not much dangerous so that enables everyone to surf. It doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner or an expert at surfing, Sri Lankan beaches are always waiting to welcome you for Sri Lankan warm waters.
