Degaldoruwa Temple

A 17th century cave temple with a beautiful reclining Buddha statue, and beautiful Kandyan era drawings, Famous but only few tourist visits this temple.

Udawattekelle Forest

One of the few city forests in the world, once was the Kings Pleasure garden with huge trees, wines which are more than many 100 years old, barking deer, Monkeys, birds and view of the city and the lake from the view point.

Bahirawakanda Big Buddha Statue

88 feet tall Buddha statute a new addition to Kandy during 80’s. After a climb behind the statute overlooking the lake, Hantana Mountains and the Sothern Kandy.

The most venerated Temple and the sacred monument for the local and international Buddhist. Visiting the temple in the evening is bit busy even though worth to observe the evening rituals with lights.
